He uses the story of Lazarus, brought back from the dead, as a parallel for our spiritual lives. Though Lazarus was raised up, he wasn’t truly “free” until his restrictive grave clothes were removed.
One of our main tasks in serving Jesus is to “unwrap Lazarus” – to help people become all they were created to be. We were all born to be fully “unwrapped” – to love God more, trust Him more, and do all that Jesus did and more!
Pete Carter is a medical doctor and church leader. He is part of the senior leadership team of North Kent Community Church and part of the teaching staff of NKCC’s School of Supernatural Ministry.
